Humphreys Landscaping is an Auckland based landscaping services business that specialises in high quality residential design and build projects as well as ongoing landscape maintenance work. While the business has established a fine reputation over many years, they approached Right Hand Man looking for a marketing company to help grow their business – focusing on attracting new customers looking for the type of work that Humphreys specialise in.
We began by clarifying Humphrey’s business position. After we found their clear point-of-difference we adapted a few small marketing pieces to create a more consistent approach.
We also put together and sent out an email customer survey to find out how Humphreys was performing in the key areas of their business. The survey immediately revealed some great opportunities – which are now being implemented. On top of that, the business positioning has been incorporated into the marketing activities, right through to staff training and management.
We believe the greatest need for any business is to focus on getting its business fundamentals right before spending money on marketing activities. Our approach with Humphreys was no different. While there’s less focus on advertising to attract more customers, the greater internal focus on quality service is leading to very positive results and a stronger platform for future business performance.
